Mince pies on New Walk!

Not sure if you were walking down the New Walk this morning, but if you were you might have been greeted by Alison & Caroline, dispensing free coffee & mince pies and checking if anyone had any last minute Christmas party requirements..?

We don't have much space left but by all means give us a call if you're still trying to organise something and we'll do our best to fit you in!

Jamies' Bar

Ok so we're always trying to improve what we do, and in an effort to make Jamies' bar feel a little more special we're making a few subtle changes. We've taken up the carpet (Thanks Diamond Joinery), Chef Alex is working on an improved menu, and Senior is working with bars manager Tom on an updated wine list.

This is what it looks like right now, and all being well you'll be able to enjoy these rooms again from Monday 24th October (notice the "all being well"........!)

This weekend the Leicester Marathon takes place (So if you're a guest or arriving or departing on Sunday morning beware! Some info here) and we're pleased to say that our Director of sales, Alison Coulam, is taking part!

Thats right, she's running all 26 miles to support LOROS the Leicestershire hospice, and all the team at the Belmont are very proud of her, so....

Well Done Charles!

Congratulations to Charles Rycko, Reception Manager at the Belmont, who has successfully completed his NVQ Level 3 in hospitality supervision & leadership. He is pictured with June Norris from Brooksby and Melton college who delievers NVQ & apprenticeship courses to the Belmont team.

Charles said, "I have really enjoyed the course and am very proud to have completed it, my parents were so pleased they are taking me on holiday!"

June said "We have a positive relationship with the hotel, and are working with them to improve the skill levels throughout, I am delivering courses to bar, sales, housekeeping and reception staff and helping support an ongoing culture of development at the hotel."

Well done Charles!
