Here are members of our Green Team showing off our latest improvements - We now have mixed waste recycling - which consolidates several things we were recycling before and adds new items to the list of things we are able to recycle. Also we now send food waste to a plant where it is processed, electricity is harvested from the gasses released, then two types of fertilser are produced!
How green is that!
Pictured are Nacho, Caroline and Julian who are proud members of our Green Team, and tasked with developing and supporting new green initiatives at the hotel and passing on their value to other colleagues at the Belmont.
Maintenance manager Julian Blakemen sums up:
"Its hard for big changes to happen, but if we continue to improve many smaller things the big change just arrives, green initiatives are not only good for the planet they are good business sense, which is why at the Belmont we're always looking for the next opportunity to improve"
